Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken to social media on Friday, to confirm the latest addition to Bruno Lage’s squad.
The player set to make his way to Molineux? Jeong Sang-bin.
Sang-bin, a 19-year-old attacker, spent the debut season of his fledgling career lining out for Suwon Samsung Bluewings in his home country of South Korea in 2020/21.
And the youngster, who has since been afforded his senior international bow, evidently did enough to convince those in a position of power at Wolves of his potential as a star in the making.
In turn, on Friday, the transfer team in the west Midlands swooped decisively, to tie up a deal for Sang-bin.
The gifted forward has put pen to paper on a long-term contract with Wolves, before being immediately farmed out on loan to Swiss giants Grasshopper for the coming 18 months.
Speaking on the back of the club’s latest addition being made official, Scott Sellars, technical director at Molineux, explained:
“Sang-bin is a young, raw talent, who has done very well for his club and national team whilst still only a teenager.
“We hope to provide him an opportunity to develop and grow as a player, and a person, in Zurich with Grasshoppers, before returning in the future.
“We’ve already seen how this process can benefit a player like Toti Gomes, and we are looking forward to seeing what Sang-bin can achieve in the Swiss league, and then at Wolves.”

Sang-bin’s Wolves arrival of course marks the 2nd in the space of just the last 48 hours at Molineux.
This comes after the Midlands outfit confirmed on Wednesday that a permanent deal had also been struck for Hee Chan Hwang.
Hwang, who is currently sidelined owing to a thigh injury, spent the opening half of the campaign on loan with Bruno Lage’s squad, impressing on his way to four Premier League goals across fourteen appearances.
Hee Chan Hwang will join us on a permanent deal until 2026 on July 1st, following the conclusion of his loan.
