All associated with Liverpool should keep one eye on the exploits of soon-to-be Red Luis Diaz during his nation’s upcoming outing on Friday night.
The name of wide-man Diaz has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines over the course of the day to date.
This comes with the 25-year-old widely tipped to take his talents to England, with Jurgen Klopp’s aforementioned Liverpool.
Just hours on from speculation mounting that Diaz was inching towards a move to north London with Tottenham Hotspur, the transfer team at Anfield swooped decisively to lure the South American to Merseyside.
A deal, in turn, is expected to be made official ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, for a fee of around 60 million euros (including add-ons).

And, as alluded to above, those of a Liverpool persuasion hopeful of seeing Diaz pull on the club’s famous red sooner rather than later could do worse than keep a close eye on developments in the attacker’s predicted latest appearance on Friday.
Diaz is primed to return to action in a couple of hours’ time, when Colombia play host to Peru in the nation’s latest World Cup qualifier.
And, as revealed by the Liverpool Echo, should the Porto standout pick up a yellow card over the course of the 90 minutes, then his Anfield switch could well be fast-tracked.
This comes with Diaz just a solitary booking away from a CONMEBOL suspension.
🚨 NEW: If Luis Diaz picks up a yellow card for Columbia against Peru tonight, he would be ruled out of their game next Tuesday. Such an absence would therefore make it more straightforward for Liverpool to complete the medical and conclude formalities. #awlive [liverpool echo] pic.twitter.com/iyzRVNLifT

Turning attentions towards potential last-minute departures from Anfield before Monday’s transfer deadline, Leeds United are understood to have set their sights on one of those likely to see his game-time reduced ever further at Liverpool following Diaz’s arrival.
The player in question? Takumi Minamino.
Japanese international Minamino, yet to secure a single Premier League start to this point in the campaign, is reported to be drawing admiring glances from both Leeds and Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.
It remains unclear, however, whether their imminent signing of Diaz could see Liverpool open up to the sale of their out-of-favour attacker.
Monaco are interested in Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino, according to Sky Sports.
Leeds also looking at the Japan international.
