The hierarchy at Premier League outfit Everton have narrowed their search for a new manager to a list of just three names, according to reports.
Amid the ongoing search for a replacement for the recently-departed Rafael Benitez, a whole host of tacticians have been tipped to take their places in the dugout at Goodison Park.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Toffees appear to have whittled down their candidate list to just three individuals.
As per a report from the reliable Jason Burt of The Telegraph, these come in the form of Frank Lampard, Vitor Pereira and Duncan Ferguson.
Significantly for the increasingly impatient Everton faithful, it is also added that a decision on the managerial situation on the blue half of Merseyside will be made ‘very soon’:
So the Everton shortlist is down to three: Lampard, Pereira.. and Duncan Ferguson. Decision very soon. https://t.co/xOlPgvrhbc

Turning attentions back towards the playing staff at Goodison, an altogether untimely double injury blow was confirmed at Everton on Thursday morning.
The pair facing spells out of action? Midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph.
As confirmed in an official statement across the Toffees’ social media platforms, both Doucoure and Delph are expected to miss a stretch of around four weeks, owing to groin and thigh issues respectively:
”Frenchman Doucoure was forced off in the 65th minute of Saturday’s Premier League match against Aston Villa at Goodison Park due to a groin problem.
”Subsequent tests have revealed the 29-year-old requires a period of rehabilitation under the care of Everton’s medical staff at USM Finch Farm.
”Meanwhile, Delph sustained a thigh injury during a training session this week and is now undergoing treatment with the Club’s medical team.”
