A fresh insight into the possibility of Alvaro Morata linking up with Spanish giants FC Barcelona before next week’s transfer deadline has been provided on Thursday.
The subject of Morata’s future has of course come back to the fore in a major way over the course of the last week.
This comes owing to the latest developments in the attacking ranks of Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.
As per a host of reliable sources this evening, as expected, Fiorentina sensation Dusan Vlahovic is now all but confirmed as a Bianconeri player, after an agreement over both transfer fee and wages was found:
Dusan Vlahović to Juventus, done deal and here we go! Total agreement with player, agents and Fiorentina. €75m fee add ons included. €7m net salary per season. ⭐️⚪️⚫️ #Vlahovic

Morata, in turn, has seen his place in the Juve ranks cast into doubt, with Vlahovic expected to quickly usurp the Spaniard as the first-choice centre-forward option at the Allianz Stadium.
So, what of Morata’s future?
Well, as has long been common knowledge, the hitman is of keen interest to La Liga giants Barcelona, at the direct behest of manager Xavi Hernandez.
As per Juventus transfer expert Romeo Agresti, however, such a move, as things stand, looks altogether unlikely to actually come to fruition.
Despite Morata himself being keen on the prospect of a Camp Nou switch, Atletico Madrid – the Spanish international’s parent club – are holding up the operation.
This comes with the capital giants, in the case of Morata’s Juventus loan stint being cut short to set up another with Barca, demanding an obligation to buy in the summer.
The Blaugrana, however, remain hesitant to agree to such terms.
