Liverpool are set to face off with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this coming Sunday.
The tie is a huge one for both outfits in their respective hunts for the 2021/22 Premier League title.
Liverpool head into the weekend’s action 3rd in the PL, a full nine points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
However, the Reds do have a game in hand on the Sky Blues, meaning they are still fairly well placed in the title race, providing they do not lose to Chelsea.
But, even after the Chelsea game, Jurgen Klopp and co. are facing the huge task of having to be without both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for around a month, as the pair are set to take part in the AFCON.
So, with more points expected to be dropped than normal in the coming weeks, Liverpool really need a win this weekend.
Ahead of the Chelsea game, Jurgen Klopp would speak to the press on Friday.
When doing so, the Liverpool boss discussed a number of topics, including team news.
And, unfortunately for Liverpool, they have experienced another covid outbreak, with three more first-team players out with the virus:
Klopp: I’m not able to say who it is but it’ll be pretty clear on the teamsheet the day after tomorrow.

When asked about a potential postponement though, the German said they were not at that stage yet:
“Postponement? Not yet but we’ve never had this outbreak. It’s more every day another one, a few staff. It feels like a lottery.”
