The woes of Spanish giants FC Barcelona have continued to deepen on Saturday, during the club’s meeting with Deportivo Alaves.
The post-Koeman era in Catalunya of course kicked off earlier this evening.
After the Barcelona board finally came to the long overdue decision to dismiss the club’s boss on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano during the week, the Blaugrana welcomed Alaves to the Camp Nou, for their latest La Liga outing.
As things stand on Saturday night, though, the hosts do not look a great deal more inspired than they did under their heavily-maligned ex-manager.
With 45 minutes played in the Catalan capital, Barca have been held at bay by a spirited Alaves side, forced to head in at the interval with a share of a 0-0 scoreline.

And, as outlined above, amid an underwhelming evening all-round thus far, the hosts at the Camp Nou have also been forced to deal with a real concern on the personnel front.
This came late in the first-half, when, after rising for a header, Sergio Aguero, almost out of the blue, went to ground.
The Argentine could immediately be seen to be in some degree of discomfort, with those watching on having gone as far as to suggest that he was struggling to breathe.
The Barcelona medical team quickly arrived on the scene, with a stretcher in hand to carry Aguero from the field of play.
Thankfully, in the end, such measures were not required, but the veteran hitman nevertheless made his way straight down the tunnel looking less than comfortable, culminating in the introduction of Philippe Coutinho:
