Barcelona without Messi are in serious trouble. Having been smashed 3-0 by Bayern Munich in Champions League gameweek one, they slumped to a shock 3-0 defeat to Portuguese outfit Benfica in their second game of the group.

A brace from Darwin Nunez was enough to down the Blaugrana, and condemn them to another defeat, and a place at the foot of the Champions League group.
2 – Barcelona have lost their first two matches in a UEFA European campaign for only the second time in their entire history, after their two defeats in UEFA Cup first round tie with FC Porto in 1972-73 and suffering elimination. Difficulty. pic.twitter.com/gFFZhmu8gI

With the club doing no better in La Liga (currently sixth), and with no sign of the slump turning around, it is surely time for concrete action to be taken.
There are, of course, terrible mitigating circumstances that are well over managerial level, such as the awful financial management of the club that ultimately cost them the chance of keeping their star man this summer.
However, Koeman must bear the brunt of the blame, his poor tactical choices contributing to the decline of the Catalan outfit. Today, it was the choice to opt for a back three, which backfired spectacularly and saw Gerard Pique substituted after just 32 minutes had been played.
Now, with the club at rock bottom, it should be time for the Dutch coach to move on.

Should he do so, Xavi and Roberto Martinez are both thought to be on the shortlist to take over at the Camp Nou, but can either right the ship, or will Barca continue to slide?
