West Ham set for double deadline day swoop but Nicolas Tagliafico out of contention

West Ham confirm Vlasic deal

West Ham have confirmed their first piece of business for the day, announcing the signing of Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow.

Vlasic has penned a five year deal for the hammers, and fills the creative hole that had appeared since the departure of loanee Jesse Lingard at the end of last season.

As per reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the deal is thought to have set West Ham back 38 million euros, of which 8 million euros is in add ons.

Tagliafico deal off

Rumours broke on social media yesterday that West Ham were close to completing a deal for Ajax full-back Nicolas Tagliafico, who was thought to be free to depart the Netherlands. However, as per the reliable David Ornstein, any potential deal is now off, with West Ham no longer looking to do a deal for the left-back.

Second signing of the day could be Alex Kral

Elsewhere, it seems as though David Moyes is set to raid Slavia Prague once again, having already signed Thomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from the Czeck champions. The latest on the conveyer belt appears to be Alex Kral, a central midfielder.

The 23 year old would arrive as backup to Declan Rice and Soucek, and would strengthen the West Ham squad as they look to take on Europa League football alongside the Premier League.
