Arsenal have managed, by hook or by crook, to remove two right backs from their squad in the past 24 hours. Hector Bellerin is on the verge of joining Real Betis on loan, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been demoted to the U-23 side following an Instagram spat with the club.

As per the reliable David Ornstein, the defender has been on Arsenal’s radar all summer, and now talks appear to have ramped up in the past hours. As per the report:
“Arteta is an admirer of the player, and is pushing internally for this deal to be closed.
Arsenal have provided him with substantial support in this window, and indications are they may be prepared to do so again here.”
Could Tomiyasu prove the answer to Arsenal’s full back woes?
