Emile Smith Rowe was one of the few bright sparks for Arsenal in a less than impressive 2020/21 campaign.
The 20-year-old finally began to earn regular minutes for Arsenal’s first-team at the back end of 2020, and has since firmly cemented himself as a crucial cog in Mikel Arteta’s midfield.
The England youth international offers some much-needed creativity to the Gunners, and has provided seven assists and seven goals in 37 outings across all competitions during the seaosn.
Such fine form, despite it only coming during half a season, has seemingly attracted interest from another Premier League side.
It was reported earlier this month that Aston Villa had made a £25m offer for ESR.
However, Arsenal are said to have had no interest in selling, instead focusing on a new contract for the youngster:

This did not deter Villa, however, who are reported to have come back in with an improved £30m offer on Monday:

This bid was also rejected, with Arsenal fans perhaps then expecting Villa to end their interest in Smith Rowe.
However, the Mirror are reporting that Aston Villa are not giving up their pursuit of Smith Rowe despite having a second bid rejected, with Dean Smith’s side still believing they have a chance of signing the youngster and will return with another bid.
