Adrien Rabiot’s mother hits out at Man United & PSG’s star’s parents following France’s Euro 2020 exit & bizarre reason Kingsley Coman didn’t want to be subbed vs Switzerland

One of the biggest surprises of Euro 2020 happened on Monday evening.

France would top a tough Group F, despite not playing their best football.

As a result, it was expected that they would have little issues dispatching a fairly average Switzerland side in the round of 16.

However, Switzerland actually took the lead in the tie after just 15 minutes. France would fight back courtesy of a quick-fire Karim Benzema brace and a Paul Pogba strike, but Switzerland continued to give it their all, bringing the score back to 3-3 in the 90^th minute through Mario Gavranovic.

The two sides could then not be separated in extra time, with penalties instead needed. Switzerland scored their opening five spot-kicks, whilst Kylian Mbappe missed France’s 5^th to send them crashing out of the competition.

In the aftermath of the game, some rather interesting stories have begun to emerge from the France camp.

Firstly, it has been reported that Kingsley Coman, who came on at half-time and was then taken off after 111 minutes in extra time, initially refused to be substituted vs Switzerland, despite being injured, because he wanted to try to change his public image of always being injured:

The second story coming out of the France game surrounds the mother of Adrien Rabiot.

According to reports in France, Veronique Rabiot began to confront Paul Pogba’s family after he lost the ball in the build-up to Switzerland’s 3^rd goal of the day.

Veronique Rabiot is then said to have asked Kylian Mbappe’s father to tell his son off so that he would be less arrogant. An aggressive exchange of words then occurred between Veronique and Mbappe’s mother and father, with the latter believed to have been clashing with families for about 20 minutes.
