Man United website publish Fan Forum member saying he doesn’t want ‘Arab billionaire’ as an owner

Man United fans protest

The headline news in the footballing world earlier this month centered on Manchester United.

The Red Devils were part of the proposed European Super League which was announced and collapsed in the space of a few days last month after huge fan backlash.

Fans of some of the ESL clubs, however, have not stopped at the collapse of the league and are continuing to have their voice heard.

Man United fans, for example, held a protest, which somehow saw hundreds of fans end up on the Old Trafford pitch ahead of their meeting with Liverpool which then had to be replayed the following week.

Man United publish ‘Arab billionaire’ comment

Following the protests, the Glazer family have not done an awful lot to quell the anger of the Man United faithful.

Avram Glazer refused to apologise to fans over the ESL when spoken to by reporters:

What did happen, though, was a Fan Forum was held on April 30th right after the collapse of the ESL.

None of the Glazers took part, but Ed Woodward was involved.

In the aftermath of the FF, a rather concerning quote has been left on United’s website.

As revealed by Rob Harris, United’s website quoted a member of the Fans Forum saying they won’t want to see the club owned by an “Arab billionaire”.

The comment in itself is obviously unacceptable, but another concern is that it is still, at the time of writing, on the website:
