Domagoj Bradarić

Age 21. DOB: 10 December 1999.

Teams: Croatia & Lille.

Position: Left-back.

After celebrating on the final day of the league campaign, will it be a summer to remember for Domagoj Bradarić?

On Ligue 1’s final night, Lille beat Angers 2-1 to win the Ligue 1 title for the first time in a decade, pipping Paris Saint-Germain to top spot by one point.

Despite having made 36 appearances this season, Bradarić was actually on the bench for that one but still picked up a well-deserved winners medal.

This was his second season with the French club having impressed at Hajduk Split with whom he made 25 first-team appearances.

On the international scene, he’s part of the younger generation of players coming through.

Since World Cup 2018, where Croatia historically reached the final, veteran players like Vedran Ćorluka, Ivan Rakitić, Mario Mandžukić and many others have retired, leaving voids in the squad.

Bradarić has, so far, earned four senior caps, starting for the first time in November’s 3-2 defeat to Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.

However, Rangers’ Borna Barišić is first choice left-back right now so Bradarić will have to understudy and wait for his opportunity.
