Christoph Baumgartner moved to Hoffenheim four years ago, as a 17 year old, before making his senior debut in May 2019.

This season, he’s established himself as a regular in Sebastian Hoeneß’s team, scoring nine and providing seven assist in 41 appearances.

For his country, Baumgartner has already scored three times in just seven caps.

In Autumn of 2020, he get his first for Austria in a UEFA Nations League defeat to Romania before netting again in a friendly against Greece a month later.

Back in March, Baumgartner got the crucial second in a comeback 3-1 World Cup Qualifying victory over Faroe Islands at Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

Arguably, Austria are one of the weakest nations competing at Euro 2020 but Baumgartner is certainly one of their potential stars.
